The COVID-19 Tracing Data base established in terms of the regulations – South Africa Scenario

• The South African COVID-19 Tracing Database requires all information held in the Ministry of Health’s database to be sent weekly to a ‘designated judge’. Other members of the patient’s treatment team may also have access to the information about the patient’s COVID-19 status.

–What safeguard’s are in place to ensure that – outside of access by the ‘designated judge’ and members of the patient’s treatment team – such information is kept confidential?
