No absolute right to treat: Scenario

• The country is in the grip of a COVID-19 pandemic, with many ordinary people, and health workers and practitioners, becoming infected with the virus. The government wants all health providers to be vaccinated to reduce the chances of infection for the health providers, their patients and their families. The government also wants all ordinary people to be vaccinated so the country can reach ‘herd immunity’ and defeat the virus.

–1. If health care personnel are unwilling to be vaccinated against      COVID-19 should the government compel them to do so? Why or why not?
